Orion

Bought myself a star tracker (not up to building my own) and had a play early this morning. A couple of Orion pics. Not up to the standard of Wornish and others (Chapeau) but quite pleased with the results.

Took these just outside a small village I used to live near to. Can't remember the last time I was somewhere so dark and so quiet (there was an Owl that had a hoot every 20 minutes or so but apart from that nothing).

Re: Orion

Good stuff. Wish I had dark skies.

Re: Orion

Light pollution is one serious problem unless you live near one of the special dark sky sites. We've had so much thick cloud over such a long period that I'm thinking of contacting the Space Rangers to see if anyone has nicked the moon?
