Where has all the yellow gone

Don't like the glaring yellow of the rapefields. Prefer this more subtle colour along with the odd poppy.

Re: Where has all the yellow gone

Again, deceptively simple, or is that simply deceptive

A very strong composition, bold, almost duo-tone colours but with the occaisional fleck of red or yellow to lift things, the line of trees leading to the horizon ..... I wish I knew how to do what you do

Another fine shot

Cheers,

JohnGG

Malcolm,

You've got a distictive style all of your own for landscapes that I'm begining to like rather a lot!

Re: Where has all the yellow gone

But I like Rape - it is second only to that richer yellow of the old mustard fields (which you don't see anymore - I presume Colemans imports nowadays) and an individual plant has a nice colour texture (and yes - I do get hay fever - going both deaf and half blind).

Nice shot and shape to it, though my taste would have been to put the poppies closer to the bottom left corner.
