Reflections from a Factory Floor

Hi All,

Just got this shot today. had to leave the site in a hurry as a few Pikeys were stealing I think cooper.

Anyways this is a Factory floor at Hoover.. Love the reflections and the wideness of the shot.

Re: Reflections from a Factory Floor

Hi Garrie,

Absolutely love it, especially the monotone feel with muted colours and the way your composition has used the reflections to create symmertry and arrange order out of chaos.

If this was my shot without doubt I'd be entering it in the current Amatuer Photographer "Structure" Competition.

I wish I had half your vision and technical ability in this type of situation.

Nice one!

Wow! That's a superb shot. The reflections and the complex lattice of beams etc are outstanding. John is right - bung it in to AP!

Thumbs up Re: Reflections from a Factory Floor

This is reminicent of "Hand Coloured" prints of the 20's & 30's

Brilliant effect and a good picture to use the technique on.

As always something that is pushing the techniques to great effect

Excellent shot and well spotted.
It amazes me how the most unpromising places can produce the most interesting shots.
A very good seeing eye.

You can never be quite sure what will impress the judges, of course, but for what it's worth I think this one is in with a good chance of making the top three and I will be more than a little surprised if it doesn't at least get placed.

If it was my shot I'd be whooping around the room in triumph and delight.

Wishing you the very best of luck,

John

Re: Reflections from a Factory Floor

Billiant to catch the reflections so well. It takes a few looks before you realise you're not looking down into a lattice!

Good luck with AP, and I'm glad the pikeys didn't decide to go into cameras as a sideline!
