Re: EM1 MkII Manual available

Hope that this manual is still a work-in-progress!
On first reading there doesn't seem to be anything about the 'focus limiting' feature and the much hyped battery charge level indicator improvements aren't shown.

The (in)famous Olympus manual terseness doesn't seem to have changed

Will have to wait for a price drop though!

15% heavier. Not sure if that will be noticeable?

Will need to get some hands on time with this as soon as possible.

Worth it for the extra grip and longer battery life. I won't need a RRS plate on this one so the weight will be about the same as my MkI.

Thanks for that. I noticed it isn't on the Japanese site yet though.

Mike - thanks for this, your eyesight is obviously keener than mine.

p48 refers to Pro Focus, my comment concerns focus distance limiting.

Bengeo,
Thanks - though in the absence of a mkii and the ability to delve into the actual menu option, this 'description' of the AF limiter isn't very enlightening. When I first read this page the words "AF area" had send what passes for my mind in a wrong direction.

Re: EM1 MkII Manual available

I always want to have a printed copy of these manuals and so I ordered a print of the pdf from www.print-my-pdf.com. Comes with clear front cover and card back cover. I went for the spiral binding which costs slightly more. Cost was 22.88 which included postage and the discount they advertise on their site. I ordered it at 10pm on Thursday and it arrived in the post on Saturday. This is A4. You can get A5 and normal binding a bit cheaper.

PS - Have now found that the same people also have a dedicated manuals site : http://www.camera-manual.com/model/o...a-manual-28938
(Only option is A5 and normal binding).

I print & bind my own as I have added that gear to my collection being useful for music & my wife's science education material etc, & of course, my manuals!
