The body hasn't, but you can fit a Panasonic 14-50mm, or a 14-150mm lens which has built in lens based stabilisation; you lose the water resistance, but gain Mega O.I.S.

Re: E1 image stabalizer ?

I find the handling of the E-1 so good that it can be handheld for surprisingly long shutter speeds .... I've managed sharp shots down to 1/8 sec at the wider end of the 14-54

Re: E1 image stabalizer ?

yes I can hand hold quite well , I was reading on olympus site about the 70-300 tips which is the lens I am tending to use most and it said turn on image stability and obviously thats for the newer cameras.
have just got a mono pod .
I,m learning more from this E1 than ever before about digital.and I like the manual focus which I haven,t used since my om which is more fun.
great buy jon from you.

The E-1 is a good combo with the 70-300mm if you use a monopod.

These were taken using the E-1 and 70-300mm using a monopod, the last one was taken at 300mm f/11 @ 1/25sec

Re: E1 image stabalizer ?

Sorry Pete, I meant John. Posting from this Blackberry is a PITA.

I don't know if I ever hand held my E-1 in the 2 years I had it.
