Pants Revisited

I would just like to say to the poster who clicked on the scales and accused me of making needless and violent comments that you sir are a troll who is ruining what is a very good and friendly forum.

No where on this forum have I ever made a comment that condones violence and the one that you linked to had a smiley in there in any case. You totally missed the point of the original humour but then felt the need to make unwarranted nasty remarks. You even misquoted one person in the wrong thread, such is your agenda.

You are now on my ignore list, and I suspect on the ignore list of many others.

If you have nothing to contribute or nothing good to say then perhaps you should quietly pack up and go away.

If it is your intention to make yourself unpopular here then consider your mission complete. You certainly have achieved this since coming to this forum.

Re: Pants Revisited

John

Just searched for any needless violence in your posts - or anything more needless than most posts (mine included). Dissapointed not to find any - so I have added to your reputation (whatever that is).

Re: Pants Revisited

John,

I am sorry you got caught up in this and understand your annoyance. To be truthful, no-one but this person has EVER given me cause for being offended. I am very pleased he has a thread going which he wanted and is well subscribed.

I think we just have to move on.

Oops ... there you go with the personal attacks again. Just in case you really can't see how you could have possibly offended a pet-owner, here's the thread again:

Here's the relevant part of the relevant thread:

What's 'Scapula Memory' an anagram for anyway? 'A smarmy couple'?

Dear HP

I have tried to keep out of this as best I could but I think this is just going too far.

We had a very good community going where people trusted and respected each other. I wonder what has happened to this. Almost every day now we get personal attacks which are just not justified and certainly not called for. You wanted a thread to begin about Fine Art, you have it. Its very well subscribed and I am pleased to see this.

Please let the thing drop and let us move on. I, as one of the original subscribers, am dismayed at what we are turning into. Let us get back to the days where we had free and fair discussion without smart comments and personal attacks. You will recall I returned last week in the hope that peace had been restored. I find it very difficult to use my normal welcoming phrases when new members post on here. Think about it and you will understand why.

I'll second that Peter.
No doubt we all have interesting things to contribute and there wouldn't be much discussion and debate if there wasn't some disagreement but lets keep any personal animosity out of it.
