DoF illustration of the excellent Oly 35mm

Hi All

Was inspired to create a few shots last week using the Oly 35mm macro lens, with the subject theme being 'silver'. I also see a few posts on here regarding the Olympus 35mm macro lens, and what it is capable of - there's one of these going in a shop for only 125 - that's a real bargain.

Here's two similar shots, but one is at f10, the other at f3.5. Nothing spectacular, but they do show what a cracking little lens this one is (IMHO of course). They do though show the scratches up on my B&H Sovereign Cornet...

Both shots: E-3, 1/80th, FL-50 flash, ISO100, Oly 35mm

F3.5

F10

Good examples, John. I feel this lens is often overlooked and left skulking in the shadow of the 50mm f2, which is a truely remarkable lens. This is a welcome reminder that the 35mm is highly capable in its own right and provides a budget route into high quality macro photography.
