Wasdale afternoon

Here are some shots that I took the other afternoon when I had a short trip out. We have not had much snow round here and when we did I was at work.

There was some late afternoon sun and building clouds when I arrived as I was hoping for when I left home.

As I was leaving a passing snow shower aproached.

What do you think?

Re: Wasdale afternoon

I think you left at just the right time, Alf. I know from experience how quickly approaching showers can race across Wast Water. You got some lovely light though.

Re: Wasdale afternoon

#1 is a very crisp shot in all senses of the word but #3 has more emotion (best way I can describe it) so is my best of these fine shots.

Re: Wasdale afternoon

#1 is my fave but all are beautiful. Off there myself in a couple of weeks, staying at the Strands on one of their bargain Sunday-Monday breaks .

Re: Wasdale afternoon

Captured very nicely Alf, difficult to pick a favourite. The first two are beautiful and bold but I keep looking at #3 and thinking you caught that storm just right.
