Re: What do you want Oly to release at Photokina?

The attractiveness for me of m.4/3rds is size & weight as a travel camera system it's ideal and gives nothing to its larger competitors in functionality, the OM-D E-M10 has more features than I will ever use and my trusty Pen E-PM1 has been everywhere on my travels.
I do also have a Canon 6d which I purely use for landscape photography with Canon L lenses and I do see the difference in resolution and sharpness especially on club days projecting images.

Re: What do you want Oly to release at Photokina?

Another fantasy suggestion:

CAF that matches the best that Canon has and a small single point AF that is genuinely small.

Perhaps a 400mm f5.6 as good as the Canon one which has been marketed now for 20 years and is still a winner - that can't be difficult.

OK, I'll jump back into the real world - roll on the new 7D!

OI.Share on PC would be nice...

Upload and download of all the camera settings to a PC so that adjustments can be made without having to use the camera.

Flash guns that have a 6v power supply socket, rather than the high voltage socket that very few people will ever use.

Olympus should talk to Mac since my iPad wants to sync everything through iTunes to the iCloud or my PC even though I don't want it to & then the camera could be "synced" to a designated host. That could be useful.

We've already got one local supplier putting a (high) price to the Pro 40-150 lens.
At that rate I might be buying the SWD 50-200 4/3's lens instead!

Purists would say yes but I am happy with the PS solution.
Answers please, on a postcard.

MFT x1.4 or x2 converter for the new 40-150 F/2.8 & 200 F/4 or maybe a front mounted scew on converter with large front optic to keep the light throughput.

Now those would be a useful addition.

I know it's not going to happen but a Pro 120-400. The short end could be anything from 100 to 140 but the long end is the point. It would be big but then the Sigma was massive as well.

Your link shows 1899 Australian dollars, which is about about £1000, so in line with expectations I would have thought.

Re: What do you want Oly to release at Photokina?

I don't get to PP my work shots, I just dump them on the company server. As a result uncorrected shots end up in mags and displays as no one in marketing knows any better.

said it before...a 12Mpx sensor in an OM-D
Nikon do it well with the S series...why not 'pinch' a good idea?

Thanks, but I was hoping it might be at least $200 - $300 less than that price, and maybe it will be. The way they've been pricing in recent years (since the E-M5 basically) they have tended to be roughly 10-20% above the USA price.
