OM-D wedding

No, I haven't photographed a wedding - my wife, son and I went to the wedding of some friends on Saturday. It was one of those weddings where we didn't actually know anyone, except for the bride and groom and our friends Richard and Kathryn. I didn't take many shots of the bride and groom. They have to pose for enough photos and I always make a point of staying out of the way of the official photographer - they have a difficult enough job without tripping over people like me.

So anyway, I took these two shots of our friends Richard and Kathryn in the church while we were waiting for the bride to arrive, playing with different focus points on the 45mm. I wanted each shot to have just one face of the couple in complete focus, but have the other in focus enough to be a shot of the couple, if you see what I mean.

My wife - probably in the middle of saying, 'You're not taking a photo of me are you?' She's camera shy. This is with the soft focus filter on the E-M5

This woman was sitting a few rows in front of us. She struck me as being a typical Barry girl - the pink iphone is the finishing touch! Although I don't know if she actually is from Barry.

Taking the vows. This was taken with the 45mm from the back of the church and cropped.

Too late to back out now - the deed is done

My wife and son:

Kathryn and Richard again:

All taken with the 45mm. I did have other lenses with me, but the 45mm stayed on the camera pretty much all the time.

Great images and that 45mm is such a joy to use and produces stunning results. I just love mine.

Thanks. It sure is - currently my most used lens by a long way.
