Female Linnet

My 1st ever shot of a Linnet just wish she had turned around though.

Lovely shots, Keith - and she did sort of turn around for the second shot! As far as I know, I've never even seen one, never mind got a shot of one. Put me in mind of -


My old man said "Follow the van, And don't dilly dally on the way". Off went the van wiv me 'ome packed in it, I followed on wiv me old cock linnet. But I dillied and dallied, dallied and I dillied Lost me way and don't know where to roam. Well you can't trust a special like the old time coppers When you can't find your way 'ome.'

Maybe she was turning to look out for the old cock linnet!

Thanks for reminding me of this great little song Ann1e. As a youngster I puzzled for years as to what a "cock linnet" was!
