Why don`t computers have breathalyzers built in?

I went out to the pub last night, which I dont`t do very often these days, so am a bit out of practice, which led to me doing a very supid thing.........

Everything was fine until I got home & started surfing the net. Within 10 minutes I had bought a sigma 105mm macro lens & a sigma 30mm f1.4 prime lens, all in all about £800 worth and it gets worse............

They will arrive on Tuesday morning & I wont be at home, but yes, you`ve guessed it the wife will be

So I now have a new problem.....................what the hell am I going to tell her?

Re: Why don`t computers have breathalyzers built in?

I know what you are going though.

What I normally do is buy the wife something....or try to justify the new purchases by giving her my old kit. Hence she has an E510 with a 12-60, 70-300, 50mm Macro, FL36.....and now she wants my E30 (if the E5 is ever released)

Good luck....you may need it.

I think you are going to have to break your leg on Monday night.

Yes, it's painful, but that way you will be at home for the delivery, and there will be some sympathy too.

It's not easy to break your own leg, you'll need someone to do it for you. Any volunteers? If you've seen the film 'Misery' you can pick up a few tips!

Would not be surprised if you got a wrongly address letter (Mrs not Mr) on Monday telling you that you had won the monthly competition and your prize of two lenses will be delivered on Tuesday? If not how about the foreign Legion?

I know several people who have been off work recently with a flu-like virus........................? Then, when she sees them a few days later, you say "What, these old lenses? I've had these ages."

James,

I find it difficult to read what you wrote correctly. Did you say "a macro extension tube and fisheye adapter." Why would they cost £800; looks like only about £18 to me.....

Are you a man or a mouse?? Besides which, surely it's those two lenses coming back which you sent away for repair ages ago.

OR

Tell her that it's unlucky to ask questions about SOMEONES present which you've ordered off t'internet and which she's not seeing until the day. If it's a while off, well, they were bought for her on impulse to get a good deal for her!

I suppose I'm quite lucky in that my good lady just says "OK dear"

I do tend to have a policy of one in one out though, so at the moment it tends to pay for itself.
