Echinopsis Hybrid Razzle Dazzle (Form)

Normally, a hybrid has one colour form or shape, etc. or a set combination of features. The hybrid seems to be part of a "brand" where one or both parents were hybrids and the colours are varied (including white). Ones of interest have been propagated under the name. That is why I used the qualifier "form" in the title.

When the flower first opens the inner petals are a deep, egg yolk orange but the fade to yellow by the second day open. The goblet shape of the flower is unusual for an Echinopsis. So, to show these features at their best, I offer lots of images.

The stereos are crosseye.

Olympus EM-1, (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, mostly f10, ISO 400, hand-held.

Harold

Thanks.

Good. I hope you wore your sunglasses for this set.

Now that you can make the crosseyes work, you have a huge back catalogue of my stereo images available.

I still can't, and now feel very lonely.

As soon as I begin to feel somethings possibly happening my brain takes over and I blink and go back to normal.

But I like the flower

Peter,

Thanks for trying. The brain detects something unusual with your eye behaviour and fights it.

Maybe if you open only one eye at a time in rapid sequence and then both at once, still crossed? I can't test it.

Certainly a dazzling time lapse display there, Harold, and a most convincing example of that lens's macro credentials. It's a most interesting and well presented set.

Thanks, Mark.

I am trying to take more shots without the TC behind the lens. That gives a perspective I prefer. I can't always do that with active subjects.

That's parallax, proof of 3D. You can't experience parallax in two dimensions.

Re: Echinopsis Hybrid Razzle Dazzle (Form)

I can't seem to get the hang of the stereo pairs. I can make the bottom set into a row of six blooms but I don't think that's what is intended

What is the recommended distance between eyes and monitor?

Cheers,

JohnGG

P.S. I've got a headache now

You are crossing your eyes?

Something like 4-5 hand-spans from the screen should work.
