East coast farewell

Oh well, all holidays come to an end and our short break was reassuringly expensive..

Anyway, farewell to Southwold

And time to pop in to Anglesey Abbey which is not an abbey and nowhere near Anglesey.

... and

:-)

That Lighthouse is a b...er to shoot - all those houses in the way. Notice no shots of the Pier?? Or are you keeping them up your lens hood
Where was the laminated mask??

Re: East coast farewell

Ah, I got a shot of the Lighthouse from our hotel room window at sunrise, nice lighting, and two floors up for a better angle.

The mask thing is in Anglesey Abbey

The weather was tres ordinaire the day we did the pier. (Folks, if you haven't been to Southwold, you should, and go check out the pier.. with Tim Hunkin's mad mad view on the world)

Don't forget to knock twice..

I've enjoyed your stay in Southwold enormously Pete.

Great observation and captions in your inimitable style.

Thanks for sharing.

I like the knockers.

That's an awfully big charger for the mobile phone.

Re: East coast farewell

If I had known you were going to be that close, Pete, would have invited you to visit

https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ang...-and-lode-mill

Anglesey Abbey is only 15 miles from me, during the Summer they have very interesting events, well worth a trip to the website.

Re: East coast farewell

Outside The Sailors Reading room in Southwold. It was indeed full of salty sea dog types reading the papers. Unfortunately photography is forbidden so it must remain a mystery...
