Smile long time no see

Hi everyone,
I do love this forum but due to several reasons I have been awol
firstly I am disabled and that has gotten much worse, I suffer from 4 major illness's but Fibromyalgia is the most debilitating and very very painful, also my wife of 12 years walked out on me and my son 18 months ago and I have been through hell with her and the whole situation I have just got my son his first camera, a Nikon bridge as he hasa shown some interest, although I think it's partly to get me to go out of the house and be less depressed all the time, still he also bought me a Sigma 55-200mm lens for Christmas so I best show willing, he is only 13 but as big as me nearly and i'm 18 stone
I allways found this place to be very friendly and helpful so it's a kind of re-introduction post I guess, wishing everyone all the best for the coming festivities
Keith

Re: long time no see

Welcome back Keith and so sorry to hear of your misfortune. As you've said this is such a friendly forum that is practically a form of social media and I'm sure you find encouragement here. So get out again and post a few shots and you'll find it a great morale booster.

David

Re: long time no see

Welcome back Taz, sorry to hear of your misfortune, ignore the negatives and build on the positives of the situation. It's great to have a son who is taking an interest in photography with you, hopefully you'll both benefit from each other and shutter therapy is the best thing to get the mojo working. Looking forward to see some images from you both soon.

Tom

Good to hear from you again, Keith, these things kick you in the teeth, but I can assure you it does get better in time. Take some pics, friendly competition with your lad and some chatter on the forum, 2014 will be better

Have a peaceful holiday

Re: long time no see

Hi Keith, sorry to hear your news but hopefully a return to the forum signifies that you are starting to turn the corner. It's great that your son is interested in sharing your hobby, that's bound to give you the incentive to get out and do a bit. Have a happy Christmas and I hope 2014 brings many improvements for you.

Re: long time no see

All the best from me too. Sounds like we are in for a pretty dramatic few days with the weather so there's a challenge to get some shots with your son and give you a welcome distraction from your recent troubles.
