Re: An important Friday question

As a youngster it was "Daddies" that was available on the table but my sauce of choice is "HP Fruity". To answer the question though, "HP" (original) is the definitive. If your having your burgers in a bun with salad then it has to be that pink sauce like you get in a well known burger chain. On chips it has to be "Heinz Tomato". On a juicy red steak "A1".

Ed, plural "Daddies Sauce" ... although I do have to say this could be construed as "sexist" maybe it should BE PARENTS SAUCE

Re: An important Friday question

Depends on the dish, but HP for me as far as brown sauce goes, though a little Hendersons Relish in preference sometimes since I now live in Sheffield.

NO! You CANNOT soil a bacon butty, that peak of culinary excellence, with brown saws. It just must definitely no question be Tomato Catsup even more so on a Stornoway black pudding butty, complete with grilled lambs kiddly.

Re: An important Friday question

The question I was asking was to whom the gentleman was related, or is the sauce for married men with children only?

Never seen Daddies over here but HP is easy to find. I used to like Daddies as a kid.
