It's in the Details

So, let's have some details then:

Having visited the Pencil Museum, there is nothing about pencils that we don't know now.

These, for instance, are pencils.



If there is one thing available in quantity in Lakes towns, it is outdoor shops. So here is a very Lakes shot:



As the evening shadows from Causey Pike lengthen, I caught these trees in the remaining shaft of sunlight.



And the flat valley floor contrasts with the towering hills.

Smashing set Pete.

Interesting contrast in the first two.
You can buy pencils in any colour you want with delicious names like cranberry,loganberry and blackberry but you can only buy walking poles in anodised red with black handles.

The last two are great, real contrast.

I like that last one, brings back memories, the Lake District is at it's best at the end of a fine sunny day.
