Help please whats wrong

I took this at the weekend and am struggling to get some detail from it if I zoom in how can I improve it was taken with my 70/300 lens on a tripod from a distance of about 100 metres

It would be difficult to get much detail from this, the subjects were just too distant.

I agree. 100 meters is too far. You could try cropping first, though, and then posting the cropped version, it'll be easier for people to see if there is any detail in the original. The uploaded image isn't easy to assess.
