Who's been looking at my photo?

I was browsing through some of the photos in my Gallery recently and noticed something rather odd. Most of my photos get somewhere between 20 to 100 views over time, however one particular photo has now accumulated 852 views so far!

I am quite pleased with it but wouldn't say that is anything special compared to most of the excellent shots posted in this forum. So why has this particular shot had so many views? Could somebody have posted a link to it somewhere or is there some other explanation? Should I be concerned?

Any suggestions about what is happening would be welcomed.

Here is a link to the shot in question:

Re: Who's been looking at my photo?

It's an excellent shot, Ron, deserving many views, but you have many other equally deserving pictures in your gallery. Why this one has been singled out is a mystery, but enjoy it and feel proud!

Re: Who's been looking at my photo?

I agree with what John said. It really is an excellent shot but I have no idea why it had so many more views than the others.

Agree with everybody above. Are you up to 5,000 views yet?

Re: Who's been looking at my photo?

You got me curious Ron. So I looked at my posted images and the most viewed was actually the oldest image. One that I don't even remember taking it must have been a trial shot taken with a camera I sold after a couple of months the E610 as I didn't like it. Although it was with my most favourite lens ever the 4/3s PanLeica 14-150 which I've only just been able to bring myself to sell. The shot has had 1199 views since 2011 so not really that many really as it's been on there so long!
Anyway all that said it was an interesting exercise to skip through the images and see what level of views they got and what type got most views. I hadn't realised I'd posted so many, just under 1000 images I think. Is there anyway to do some stats on the posted images? and also to do the reviewing easier than having to trawl through pages of thumbnail images.

Re: Who's been looking at my photo?

I wonder if it has been deep-linked from another site?

You can make Google look for instances of your image elsewhere on the Web.

Re: Who's been looking at my photo?

Update - I used TineEye and Google image search using the original image to look for any re-posting of it but found no copies.

Google thinks the bird is a nightingale by the way

One thought is that it has a 10 star rating so it would be regularly featured on the home page (top left) of the site.

Re: Who's been looking at my photo?

Couldn't just a single person experiencing a sticky F5 key problem whilst viewing the image be responsible for lots of multiple 'views'?

If you go to The Gallery then select My Photos. then scroll down to bottom of the page you will see a section called Sort Photos.

You can then set Sort By drop-down to: Views
The Timeframe to: Beginning
The Order to: Descending
and click Sort Now

it will show you all your photos in order with the first one being the one with the most views then the next most viewed etc.

Re: Who's been looking at my photo?

Thanks Dave. I just tried it on my gallery and most of my pictures have between 600 and 800 views.... except one of a Fieldfare that has 3563. Don't ask me as its an okay shot but really quite unremarkable.
