They are not at all common here either, although I didn't realise that they have a penchant for a nice 'cuppa'. Perhaps that is where I am going wrong. A super shot Mark.

I have seen the occasional pair in the area most years. But this year they seem to be quite common. Even today I saw five different birds, including the male in the teacup. He was chucked out by his lady bullfinch who also wanted a feed. I have put a couple of photos on Flickr of the others feeding at the top of a tree, feeding on buds............

Been a good year, bullfinches and Reed Buntings in the garden for the first time..

You will to ask one....

I use husked sunflower seeds to feed the bounds.....rea cup was a Christmas present from my dear daughters...
