Or I can put it in a dropbox folder (with proper attribution) and keep the traffic off of your UK forum.

Please let me know what you'd like to do.

Thanks again
Please direct them to this forum - it means that there will only be one location to maintain an up to date version of the settings spreadsheet.

Also if new users of the spreadsheet visit the e-forum they may decide to join and contribute their Olympus camera experience to everyone on here.
Thanks.

Re: E-M1 Mkii Menu settings spreadsheet

Hi Chris,
Many thanks for your Excel spreadsheet for the EM1 MkII and to G2EWS for the excellent Evernote idea.
Wonder if anyone has suggested settings for the custom functions for say, Wedding and Fast-moving things and what they assign Function buttons to. I saw somewhere you can even assign camera on/off to a function key!

Hi deejay
and welcome to the forum.
Not sure about Custom assignments for Wedding photography but, if you search the sub E-M1 Mkii subforum for "BIF" (Birds in Flight) you should find numerous recommendations suitable for what you term 'Fast-moving things'.
The E-M1 Mkii's default Custom settings provide a very basic starting point for action photos - though I'd definitely change the Mode setting in the Custom assignments from 'Program' to either Shutter (or Manual for preference)

This screenshot shows the current state of my Custom Mode settings:

As for Button/Dial assignments, I have changed the following:
Fn2 = Multi-function (with Home, All Points, C-AF as the sub-settings)
Record = Magnify
Upper Front = Focus Peaking
L-Fn = AF-Limiter
The remaining assignments are as default.

Just a caveat - I'm not an expert/regular action photographer - the above are merely starting points for my occasional forays into wildlife and aviation photography. Many other E-group forum members should be able to provide you with more relaible advice for specific types of photography.
Hope this helps.

Re: E-M1 Mkii Menu custom settings

Gwyver, very grateful for these. Will try as a starting point and see how I get on. Lifetime Nikon user (also Fujifilm a bit) but new to Olympus and the EM1 MkII so not confident to shoot a wedding with the Oly yet; appreciate you taking the time to respond. Looks like a great forum!
Thank you again!

Thank you for your efforts.
Any reason not to freeze the top title row?

Allan,
Thanks for the comments. Glad it is useful for you.

Absolutely not. In fact on the copy I use to record my camera settings I have done precisely that (i.e. frozen the title row). I'll try to include your request next time the spreadsheet needs a 'content' update.

Re: E-M1 Mkii Menu settings spreadsheet

I've created a new version of the settings spreadsheet which includes the changes corresponding to Firmware release v2.0.

To access this see the 2nd zip file in the OP this thread

Re: E-M1 Mkii Menu settings spreadsheet

I must be really thick but when I download the link and unzip it, all I see is the spreadsheet user-notes. Could somebody let me know what and where I should be looking for to find this elusive (to me) spreadsheet.

(Somebody else in the thread said they couldn't see it, then said they'd found it ..... but unfortunately didn't say where.)

Keith
This spreadsheet contains 3 pages. They are named "Settings", "Custom_Modes" & "Notes".
By design the spreadsheet will initially open showing the "Notes" page (so that new users can see what has changed in the latest version).
You can then select and view the other pages by clicking on the chosen 'Tab' - all of which are located at the bottom left edge of the window. See here:-
(click on this thumbnail to see an enlarged image)

Hope this helps.
