Oslo: Light and shadow

Some pictures from our visit earlier this year to Norway.

A temperature inversion layer made the islands in the fjord seem hazy and mysterious:

The wooden interior of the entrance lobby in Oslo's Opera House was striped with shadows from the late afternoon sun coming through the windows:

I find back and white hard to do, but good ones (I'm not saying these are)are some of the most striking images you can get.
