The remains of a Hurricane

Well the storm leftovers from hurricane Gonzalo hit town on Tuesday here are some shots.

Now these two popped up for a look at this point the sea is nearly 5 meters below them

Two minutes later just after they went this happened.

Hi Alf. Why people do not respect the sea is perplexing to me.
What idiots.
We watched footage of your wild weather on TV. At least it afforded you some great shots.

Re: The remains of a Hurricane

Hi there Alf!

Great images showing the power of the sea (and the stupidity of some people). Fortunately round our way the police are extremely vigilant and stop anyone from getting too close to the waves, unfortunately it stops me getting close enough to get a good image as they normally close the whole promenade at the slightest hint of a storm.

Cheers,

Ralph.

Re: The remains of a Hurricane

That couple had a lucky escape! I won't judge them, because in Alf's previous shot they appeared to be well above the crashing waves. The sea can catch you out!

My favourite picture from this set is No2 - really spectacular.

Nice set particularly the 1st Mono. Hoped to catch some myself at Portpatrick but it was too dark when I arrived Monday evening & Tuesday the sea had settled down a lot.
