This morning's sunrise

We, along with many others I suspect, had a gorgeous misty sunrise this morning. This greater my arrival at work, and so I tried an experiment to capture it using the dramatic tone art filter.

My colleague is using it as her desktop wall paper so that's one positive vote, but I thought I'd share here to see what views are about it.

Yes, very pleased with it. It's been very handy for photographing my niece and David's grandchildren amongst other things.

A most extraordinary sky, Amanda ... would love not to see those power lines though ... how do you like the XZ2? I'm surprised that Stephen would wish to part with it!

Re: This morning's sunrise

Hi banjukes, Huw, OM User and Mark,

Thanks for the kind comments. I wasn't 100% sure but my friend's reaction at work was very nice!

Yes, it would be great not to have the power lines, there are many and make it very hard to get a shot without them!

Re: This morning's sunrise

I like it too very nicely done. I got some this morning, not as nice a setting as yours though.

Re: This morning's sunrise

Thanks Phill D,

The water is actually our fire water lagoon, but doubles as the fishing club lake.

If it works the attached link shows it on google and you can just about make out the fountain.

http://https://www.google.com/maps/preview#!q=Hallen+BS10+7ZE%2C+United+Kingdom&data= !2m1!1e3!4m15!2m14!1m13!1s0x4871930ae344a1d5%3A0x3 394d82743b1ec89!3m8!1m3!1d24111899!2d-95.677068!3d37.0625!3m2!1i1439!2i710!4f13.1!4m2!3d 51.5462498!4d-2.6565607&fid=7

If not type BS10 7ZE in google maps and you'll see it's not quite so nice!

Re: This morning's sunrise

The colouring is fantastic, Amanda, so different.

I looked at the horizon and think you could improve by a very slight clockwise rotation so that the power cables form a symmetrical curve across the vista and a small area of the grass disappears. Just a suggestion, as I think your colleague is right

Re: This morning's sunrise

Thanks Imageryone,

Yes, I see what you mean. The pylon (on the right hand side) is just, and only just out of sight and that's why I positioned it that way. Perhaps I should have moved and may have achieved the same effect, I'll have to spend some more time on a lunch break so next time I'm better prepared for the morning.
