Snow. Or more precisely the lack of snow!

I am getting a wee bit jealous now thanks to one and all.
I live in the land of kilts, haggis, 'wee drams' and mountains and we have hardly got any snow at all.
You are all out getting brilliant images and we have just got grey overcast
skies with strong winds.
I'm going to throw Teddy in the corner and kick my milk over. Right now.

Re: Snow. Or more precisely the lack of snow!

We went from +5C and rain on Saturday to -12C with a wind chill of -19 today and we've had a foot of snow in the past 24 hours. We're still under a snow squall warning and it's forecast to be -17C with a wind chill of -28 tomorrow.

I know what you mean, Stephen; it won't last long either.

Re: Snow. Or more precisely the lack of snow!

Jon, I too am very frustrated re SNOW IF I had not got re infected with this darned cough and very VERY sore throat virus I would be out there taking some photos

But I did go out Friday am (to make Snowmen and slege down our hill ) and by 4pm my neck was swollen and my throat real sore again .. and the coughing started all over again

I did see a "couple of shots" in the garden, but by the time I got all wrapped up; fleece layers and ski jacket; bobble hat and Hunter hat with ear flaps and chin strap and had a scarf about my mouth and face - the light had gone ...

Re: Snow. Or more precisely the lack of snow!

Well I finally saw some snow today but only really very local to where I live as I love about 800 ft above sea level and a couple of miles from the sea.

Re: Snow. Or more precisely the lack of snow!

We've had another 9 inches of snow since I posted yesterday. But the snow squall warning we'd been under for 48 hours has been downgraded to a watch. -15C with a wind chill of -22 this morning.

We had between 4 and 6 inches of snow, all gone now of course. But here's a reminder:

Re: Snow. Or more precisely the lack of snow!

Our weird winter continues, it's supposed to get up to +11C today, warm up overnight to +13C tomorrow morning with the risk of thunderstorms and an inch of rain tonight.
