Insect's

Butterfly with the E-30 & 70-300mm and fly with the E-620 & 35mm Macro

I have no idea what kind of fly it is, so if you have any idea I'd be grateful.

Comma Butterfly

Fly

Re: Insect's

Absolutely stunning images, great DoF. I am still regretting selling my 70-300mm now I have become more interested in macro, an excellent lens for this. The fly is of the family Calliphoridae probably calliphora vomitoria or a very closely related species.

Re: Insect's

Shows there's more that one way to skin a Comma or Fly.....

The Comma is almost spot on,is the dof even narrower if using a zoom against a macro lens ?

Th e fly looks like me...little short fat hairy legs.
Great image.

Re: Insect's

Excellent shots, number 1 is fantastic, good advert for the 35mm.
I've got loads of shots of the second fly aswell, so the ID is useful for me too

Re: Insect's

In Norwegian, the name for the Calliphora vomitoria is "Puke fly" ("Spyflue")
