Young Otter?

Went out along my local river to get some bird shots when this little guy appeared not the best shots but not often I get a chance like this!

Entering the river

Crossing a little weir

Checking out (had heard my shutter?)

Spotted!

was not tall enough to avoid silver bar in forground.

Comments welcome.

What a lucky so and so you are, I've only ever seen a few and never had a camera to hand. Well done!

Re: Young Otter?

Very lucky shot. In spite (or maybe because) of the harsh light you had to contend with, #2 is easily my favourite.

Re: Young Otter?

Many thanks for the comments, the light was very bright and as you can guess I did not have much time to set the camera up but I am happy to have got some keepers. Will be watching the river with more care in future.
