You might find the samples on the DP Review site helpful, and you can use the loupe to view them at 100%: http://www.dpreview.com/articles/509...sample-gallery

I have one for sale and would have kept it if I still had an Olympus m43 body to use it on. My impression is of a very well-built lens (feels much more nicely put-together than the comparatively plasticky mZuiko 14-150) which performs strongly for what it is. I don't think there is much to choose in image quality between any of the three m43 superzooms and all of them are good for many purposes unless you're a compulsive pixel-peeper. The Lumix lens makes more sense on Panasonic bodies though, because of its built-in OIS.

If I bought another m43 body, I'd certainly consider buying this Tamron lens again - and I think if you search around the web you'll find quite a few happy customers.

Cheers,

Jon

I have one of these... I've been pretty pleased with it - it's a good compromise when you don't want to carry a bunch of lenses around. Some chromatic aberration but Lightroom does a good job of cleaning that up.

Re: amron 14-150mm f/3.5-5.8 Di III Lens experience

I bought the Tamron 14-150mm new at 259 from Amazon UK just 10 days ago. I chose it rather than the Olympus or Panasonic varieties because IQ is reported as about the same, but the price of the Tamron was more attractive. At first I was pleased enough, not expecting anything stellar, until I found chromatic aberrations under some conditions. It can be dealt with in Lightroom or CS6 but I don't like to have to do that. I had not thought about CA because either the OM-D body or Lightroom ( don't know which) does such a good job of automatically removing CA, that I had forgotten all about it. The lens is perfectly ok for a budget carry around lens, and is very nicely made, but it is already packed up to go back to Amazon to eventually be replaced by the Olympus version. 'Er indoors says I should have bought the Oly in the first place. I should listen more of course.

Why not return it to Amazon for a refund?

I thought that I already said it was packed up to go back to Amazon. They have already agreed a refund. Eventually I may buy the Oly version, but since I already have the cheapo 12-50mm and the almost free 40-150mm, maybe I will decide not to bother.
