The Dot.Foto ones I mentioned came to me from ebay, but note that they are advertised with at least two capacities.
The two I have both seem to charge OK with the Olympus charger, as well as the ExPro one, and seem to be recognised by the cameras as genuine.
I've not had either the camera, or the batteries long enough to give an informed opinion on longevity, but initially they seem broadly compatible with my only genuine battery

My Patona Platinum and Green Cell came from Amazon UK.

Re: Third party batteries for the EM1ii (and EM1X)

ExPro are now selling on Amazon what seems to be a newer version of their BLH1 equivalent. It claims to be fully decoded and rates at 2450mAh which is amongst the best. I charged it in the ExPro charger I bought some while ago but foolishly failed to try it in the Oly one when it was discharged. I get the green light when I put it charged in the Oly charger so I guess it works OK. There is no error message in the camera and the %age display is correct.

Is this the one that's 48.97 for 2 batteries + usb charger?

How long does one take to charge using their charger?

And are you going to try charging a genuine Oly battery in their charger?

Re: Third party batteries for the EM1ii (and EM1X)

Yes it is. I didn't note how long it took to charge and in any case the batteries are part charged on arrival. I get a sense it takes longer than with an Oly one, but can't be sure. That may be something to do with the input being 12v USB rather than 230v mains. You would need to bear in mind that there is a considerable variation in the capacity of BLH1 batteries (see earlier posts) and that will affect charge time. The ExPro does charge Oly batteries. Being USB you can use it in the car and, in our case, the motor caravan.

Please confirm that means the problems previously posted in Amazon reviews have now been sorted, as that will give me the confidence to place an order (after getting an Amazon link from Ian so the forum will receive a small contribution):

Battery very good value for money, holds its charge very well and seems to be just as good as original olympus battery although it doesn't show the percentage of remaining power as the original. I recommend this battery as a back up to the original.

Purchased these as an alternative to the very expensive Olympus batteries. So far I have not been disappointed, OK you get the message that these are not genuine but they work just as well as originals. I have 2 installed in my camera and there was still plenty of life left after after a day's shooting in York. All-in-all a great buy

If it's about 8 for the useful usb charger and 20 for each battery if bought with 2, that compares well with 2 genuine Oly batts, the cheapest can find at the moment are 63.74 each, plus there's that free SD card holder, total saving approx 90.

Not having had the older batteries I'm not in a position to comment but my post did say the early problems seem to have been overcome. There is no error message and the %age charge shows.

Re: Third party batteries for the EM1ii (and EM1X)

I wanted some spare batteries for my E-M1X & Mk2 so after reading this thread and checking Amazon I bought the Greencell batteries. They are rated at 1900mah.
I have three so far just ordered my fourth.
They come part charged, although last one was fully charged. They do charge on the Olympus charger and take around the same time.
In camera the correct information is shown and there performance is good. The information says first time charged you should allow the battery to get down to about 6% before charging.

I will stick with Greencell for my third party batteries.

Re: Third party batteries for the EM1ii (and EM1X)

I've now ended up with a mix - Green Cell, Patona Platinum and ExPro. They all have different capacities which in turn are different from the OEM. As far as I can see they all work well and are fully compatible so one may assume the original problems have been overcome by whoever makes them.
