Was indeed rather large.

First flight out of France I think. From base in Toulouse to the Airbus factory at Hawarden with a flyby on the way over the Filton Airbus factory.

I was hoping to get up to Filton for it but work got in the way. Tracked it on Flight Radar and was happy when I saw it had taken a turn to the east south of Bristol so it would probably be very close to home on the westward flight over Filton.

Has to be a day of mixed feelings for the Airbus workers at Hawarden today.

Re: Airbus Beiga XL Flypast Over My Back Garden

It often flies near us on its way to Broughton but it's always just too far away to get a decent shot. A very strange looking plane indeed. Its amazing the technology needed to re-design to such a shape yet keep the basic structure of the original plane intact.
