Show us your Sunsets then...

We've had similar threads before (bluebells comes to mind) and it's been so nice the last couple of days I've been running around the Welsh countryside laste into the evening and propping cameras up on tripods in fields ...

I'm quite pleased, but someone must be doing better ..

Regards
Andy

BTW there were No pubs harmed in the taking of these pictures I was quite sober this time !

I'm more of a sunrise guy but here's a few Canadian ones. All my Brit ones are from my film days.

Re: Show us your Sunsets then...

I agree with Edward about the picture of the lighthouse being superb. I love the soft, muted pastel colours.

Re: Show us your Sunsets then...

I think it's the same sun... just seen from the other side of the planet:

6 minutes later, it was under the horizon. The sun drops like a rock down here.

Re: Show us your Sunsets then...

This is my latest sunset, just the conversion from raw to jpg.. no processing. Taken from the top of the Empire State Building (damn... its huge. Any way to make it smaller in the post)

Sunsets are one of my favourite subjects... trouble is you can often sit for ages waiting for the shot, only to find that something goes wrong, ruining what "should" have been THE shot

Re: Show us your Sunsets then...

I WAS going to go out this evening as it looked promising, but I was too kn****ed when I got home from work, and luckily the sunset wasn't brilliant (!), so these two are from last year:-

Re: Show us your Sunsets then...

Thanks Tracey. Sometimes things just work out right. I had to go outside and in front of our living room window to get that! Long distance photography!

Re: Show us your Sunsets then...

hehehe.. I've got one of those too..

but then my son must've turned the sun down too much because I sat there waiting and the sunset didnt do anything, just disappeared behind the clouds.
