Another one hit the dust.........

Suddenly came up with "Write Protect" error, which of course it was not.....

That 2 out of two Lexars that have failed in my TG-5..

Off the Christmas list for certain........

Re: Another one hit the dust.........

That is not good Mark. I was uploading some files to my computer the other day, using the card reader which came with my expensive Lexar card. When I had finished I went to remove the reader from the USB port but it came apart in my hand. I managed to clip it back together again but I don't think Lexar's build quality is what it should be.

Didn’t Lexar go bust a while back and got bought up by a company who’s keeping the name? That might explain it.

Re: Another one hit the dust.........

I heard they were in trouble a while back. Unsure whether the brand name was taken on by others...

I had the same problem with my first Lexar I used on the TG-5, it just suddenly came up with the Write Protect error.

I also use the fast Lexars in the EM1 ii, and so far so good, touch wood...

I believe that the Lexar brand is now owned by the Chinese company Longsys.
