New to 4/3rds

Hi Everyone,

Just found the forum and thought why not join!

I have just recently purchased an EM-1 kit with the 12-40 & 40-150 lenses after a 6 month hiatus after selling a Nikon D7000 plus some pro glass, and to be honest I haven't looked back. I find the speed of the EM-1 exceptional and the customisable features incredible. I have honestly taken some of my best images since I've owned it, so hopefully things will only get better.

Here's hoping to a lot of interaction on this forum.

John

Re: New to 4/3rds

Hi John and welcome

As Bob says I doubt you will find a friendlier or more helpful forum.

If that 40-150 is also the 'F2.8 Pro' you have certainly started off with some fine glass. I now have both myself and they are quite something

Anyway, once again a warm welcome.

Kind regards, Simon

Re: New to 4/3rds

Hi Simon,

Yep, both lenses the pro glass, and the 40-150 2.8 is even better than my 70-200mm 2.8 Nikon.

Thank you for the welcome.

John

Re: New to 4/3rds

Hi there John and welcome to the forum! If you have any questions about your (extremely nice) new kit please don't hesitate to ask - someone here will know the answer. Other than that I'm looking forward to seeing some images.

Cheers,

Ralph.

Re: New to 4/3rds

What sold me was Olympus' commitment to the pro range of lenses, so looking forward to the 300mm f4 Pro!

My major weekness is with filing my images and resizing etc. I have LR4 but primarily use iPhoto on my Mac. So something for me to work on.

If anybody is interested in seeing some of my images my Flickr page is JohnQuinn2011.

I'll do my best to post images to this forum, once I work out how to resize etc...

Thank you for all the welcome messages.
