Nifty Fifty

Taken with the Oly m4/3 25mm, on the E-M1, in London opposite the Image Space. Full-frame, uncropped.

Re: Nifty Fifty

Nice, I remember sky like that. In those days petrol was a pound a pint and a cod and chip supper was real cod.

Re: Nifty Fifty

superb detail Stephen, nice saturated and contrasty colours too (but I must resist spending any money until the 40-150 f2.8 arrives, so I can't look any more )

Re: Nifty Fifty

It's a lovely lens. In my humble view Olympus lenses always exude extra sparkle.

A quid a pint? Don't think we've reached that level even here, yet!

Re: Nifty Fifty

We haven't reached that level yet either, I was getting my pints/liters and pounds/dollars mixed up. I suppose beer at a pound a pint would have worked but they don't sell it by the pint over here except for a few British/Irish theme bars.

Re: Nifty Fifty

Great shot Stephen.
The lens looks to be another Olympus winner.

That looks to be the Heron Tower. The last time I ventured into the city it wasn't there and the Image Space Gallery was a Boots Opticians.

Regards.

Re: Nifty Fifty

Thanks, Amanda, Peter and Brian. Many of the buildings in that part of London look the same to me, and are brand new. They look modern, clean, and spectacular today, but how will they be in 50 years?

Re: Nifty Fifty

Stunning composition of a spectacular building. London has fabulous architecture from all eras.

It's a great shot Stephen.

Re: Nifty Fifty

Thanks Mark. There's certainly a cornucopia of building styles, some better than others!

I see Dave and yourself have photographed the same building. It's a super subject.
