Re: new OM-D user ;)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome really appreciated

Well, it has finally arrived I have to say I am really really pleased with the build quality and the feel of the camera. Battery is on charge as we speak, I don't think I will get chance tonight but tomorrow I will get some test pics up to show how good or bad the 17mm 1.8 is.

Ive also ordered a bag tonight the lowepro streamline 100 looks just the job and will be with me tomorrow.

OM User:
when you say recognised the second do you mean you've been to that location or seen the pic before ?

Pierre L:
Im thinking about the 45mm as a portrait lens. Although I really like the idea of just keeping this lens on the body, and never taking it off. I can also avoid dust issues that way Maybe a second body is the answer..somehow I don't think the wife will fall for that one though!

Thanks again everyone and look forward to chatting to you all. will post pics tomorrow

G'day AJ40. Welcome from an Aussie.

It hasn't been mentioned but you may like to do some reading (if you haven't already done so) with setting up your OM-D. Here are two links that are worthwhile reading to get you started.

Re: new OM-D user ;)

I havent had any time today, rushed off my feet. I only managed to nip out and take a few quick test snaps. so settings aren't maybe what they should be on most of them
Really am quite pleased with this OM-D and the 17mm lens though. I have noticed the camera doesnt like coming out of sleep mode if it has been left switched on, is this the same on all of them?
nothing great or arty just test shots Just having a sort through and I will post a few more up
