Highway M31

Six days on the road and I'm gonna make it home tonight!

Shot today the beautifully landscaped National M31 Hume Freeway connecting Melbourne to Sydney is 880km (540mi) long.

The undulating plains of Northeastern Victoria

Don't post any more, Mark! Just makes me want to go back Down Under, and I'm not scheduled to go until 2013...

Just kidding...

Ha, Cathrine! ... ... as said elsewhere I'm shooting for all I'm worth before you arrive and leave nothing left for me to shoot and share!

Meanwhile, eat your pretty heart out over The Yaks are Back!

Glad to see you appear to be flat-footed on the ground (and bridge?) for these instead of your usual antics.

Thanks there Chevvy. Well, aside from a few notable landmarks like Uluru and the Great Divide Oz is mostly flat as Lyn will also tell you. The clarity is by virtue of a recent aquisition, the Olympus 12-60mm.

Where's the "WRONG WAY - GO BACK" sign in the first one?

Nice views of the Hume Hwy.

Australia isn't all flat, especially where I live. I pant from walking up to the letterbox, well that's probably because I'm unfit.

It isn't exactly flat here.

Jamison Valley Panorama

Some great spots for absailing.

Actually, you can just see the top of it just over the rise. I should have photoshopped it closer in.

Thanks Ross.
