Re: First shot with the 70-300

thanks I was just sat drinking my cuppa desperate to nice a shot of a bird the fly arrived and i just could not resist

I have just done the firmware update im not sure what it has done and i probably never will as i have only taken about 10 shots with it so far

Is it only me or does everyone's heart beat faster and then you give an almighty sigh of relief when the screen on the camera says OK to confirm the update has been successful

Re: First shot with the 70-300

Never dared to do it with mine
I'd be interested to know what you think it did and if it was worth it.
Regards
Phill

Re: First shot with the 70-300

Im not sure if I will really know what the update has done as I have only had the lens for half a day and so have nothing to compare it to

I may however give my opinions on the lens in a month or two but for the moment it looks like money well spent

Found this about the update on the Olympus site

Version 1.2 - 18.03.2009
- Contrast AF is available if it is supported by the camera. (To secure the focusing accuracy, focusing is may be slow at the super-tele position, depending on the object
