Squirrel

I was hoping to use this one for some work, but does the fern spoil it and if so, any recommendations on how to remove it, as my PP is very limited!

Re: Squirrel

Hi Danny,

I think this is the effect you want, I used 'content aware' to remove the fern.

In CS5 select the lasso tool (L), draw around the fern, then press shift+F5. This will bring up the 'fill' box. It should say 'content aware' in the 'use' box at the top, if not click the right arrow and select it, press OK. You might have to do it a couple of time to clean it up. Press Ctrl+D to deselect when you've done it.

There are a number of ways to 'clean' an image up but on this one content aware was the easiest.

Regards - Paul

Cleaned up or not, it's a superb detailed shot. Lovely.

Re: Squirrel

Danny - I am a sucker for an animal shot like this and I love it!
I guess it would be better without the fern - but I am hopeless with editing - wish we had squirrels in Australia - but our possums are cute.

Re: Squirrel

A superb picture of a squirrel. Not only is it well detailed but also gives an insight to the character of the animal too.

Re: Squirrel

It is a great shot of the squirrel. If you want the same editing feature as CS5, Elements 9 has the same content aware healing tool (might be with slightly less flexability, but essentially the same) & it comes at an affordable price. See the review http://e-group.uk.net/forum/showthre...288#post103288
