Nicely focused, Nick ... the setting is unfortunate, however, I know well that Herons can be skittish here and seldom hang about for the likes of us.

Not sure I 100% agree about the background, yes it is busy (and at full stretch on 500mm focal length there's not much chance to blur it), but it is also very typical of how herons pose.
