Again, without watching the video I suspect that he's not told the full story. A prime lens will also change focal length as it focuses closer. Focal length and angle of view are only accurate when focused at infinity for most lenses. Some exceptions being lenses not designed to focus at infinity, certain macro lenses for example.

I just paused at the start of no. 12 tip: filters. He only touches on each tip, putting forward the suggestion that viewers visit his website, for a more in-depth presentation of his points. At this time of the night, my concentration abilities were flagging. Some of the stuff I already knew and some I had not heard of before. Thank you Ross for offering this up to the forum

That's what I find so amusing about the Olympus/Panasonic marketing where Olympus have people no one had heard of until they started blogging for Olympus while Panasonic have Daniel J Cox, a well known pro with years of publication and awards before the whole interweb made 'experts' of anyone who wants to spout off.
