Which Lancaster?

Hi all, I have an image of a Lancaster that I have processed in slightly different ways in Lightroom, now I am unsure which one I prefer. So I was hoping that you will be kind enough to offer your opinions. Many thanks

and

Re: Which Lancaster?

After back and forth, I think the top one as well. I would like to see just a little trimmed off the right side so the plane is not dead center.
It is a lovely image, and the lighting is just right for the subject.
Cheers,
Don

Re: Which Lancaster?

First one for me.. The plane stands out more and I prefer the light.

I'm interested in how you took this. A following plane?

Hec, if only it was from a following plane!, but then I would have been too excited to get a shot. It was taken from terra firma at the Royal International Air Tattoo on Saturday. Strangely enough last year I took an image of the Italian display team Frecce Tricolori which also looks air to air.

#1, the light reminds me of an oil painting.

Re: Which Lancaster?

The first one for me.......how do you get a shot like that from terra firma...you must have very long legs (or arms).

Re: Which Lancaster?

It was climbing away from the OP?

Great shot though, however processed/unprocessed.

Edit: Actually, it looks to me to be on its climb out following take-off. T/O flaps still applied, and the nearside undercarriage doors are not quite yet fully closed...

I really wish I did, because I would get more like that, I think she had just taken off and was about to display...strangely enough last year at Fairford I got an image of Frecce Tricolori, that also looks a bit "air to ai" I have asked a few people if they could explain 'how' but apart from luck, light, and clouds I still don't know.
