Sigma comes to micro four thirds

Perhaps not the same kudos factor that some of the other lens makers might lend to the format but, Sigma's AF lenses should have a broad appeal (hoping they bring out the 24 1.8).

Re: Sigma comes to micro four thirds

Lets hope some of these lens companies eventually make the optics specifically for mtf and not just stick a new lens mount on there normal lens range.

With economies of scale in mind, I think the best we can hope for with Sigma is they re-design the optics for the NEX and adapt to m43. This would still mean a lens that is quite a bit smaller than its DSLR equivalent, but not as small as it could be.

Re: Sigma comes to micro four thirds

It would also be nice on the manual focus primes to have DOF scales that relate to the format.

Re: Sigma comes to micro four thirds

Definitely good news.... after all, the more lenses that are available, the more desirable the system as a whole will be for anyone choosing a mirrorless camera.
