Re: shooting Tethered with Olympus

Was only possible using Olympus Studio2. If you looking to use a live view feature you'll also need a different usb cable that splits the video signal too.

It was, but not sure if you'll still be able to get hold of a copy. A while back Olympus were releasing the key free of charge from the trial down load.

Re: shooting Tethered with Olympus

I use two levels of "tethering":

One is using Studio that provides the full control and the other is the use of a small LCD TV to view the live stream. Additionally you can use an Eye-Fi Card to transmit the images to a computer.

Studio is useful for short distance "remote" work, whereas the use of the live-view stream to the TV and a radio remote shutter release, can work at longer distance.

As with most things, there are often alternate ways to achieve the desired results.

Have fun

Re: shooting Tethered with Olympus

I have seen someone on YouTube shooting so. "That" it was tethered was not the point of his presentation so there was only a slight visual and verbal reference (strangely he was going through LR 3.) I believe there was one other YouTube presentation / reference to the E-5 being used tethered.
