EM-1 with Sigma 135-400 focus adjustment

Not sure if this fits here or in the lens section but as it is EM-1 specific I went for here, does anyone know if the sigma 135-400 carries its own focus adjustment information embedded in a chip somewhere?

I ask because when I went to check the focus adjustment using the Default setting I found that it was automatically applying an adjustment, which varied with focal length. (seems to work OK too)

Its not something I have seen with my Olympus 50-200 so I was a bit surprised to see this with the Sigma lens
