Here's one I made earlier...

...admittedly with a little help from my wife!

My new baby girl arrived 6:20pm on Sunday 2nd Dec... everyone home and doing well, just needs a name now!

Well, you've had the fun part, now the other sort of fun begins (from sleepness nights now to sleepness nights when she stays out late with her boyfriend).

They are all pessimists - she looks like an angel to me, and will probably sleep all night!
Or perhaps time has dimmed my memory of a new bub in the house?

Just a couple of weeks with my grandson helped to refresh my memory.

Tim, WoW ! mega C o n g r a t u l a t i o n's to you and your good lady

She looks a good size, can we have the weight ? I am thinking 8lb 10 ?

Don't believe them above about losing sleep You just take it when you can, as she does ... seriously most are wonderful for the first 6 weeks ... then they start develop[ing cognetively and stir about for reasons other than "food and thirst" as they start learning "cause and effect" if I cry they come a running ... by 15 weeks a pattern of sleep at night and day has developed (fingers crossed) and thats ok until ... drum roll TEETHING although I had three and two hardly let us know they were cutting a tooth ot two or three ... but ONE DID Grrrr ...

Re: Here's one I made earlier...

Congratulation Tim and also to your Wife on the birth of your beautiful Daughter.

Forget about the sleepless nights and look on the bright side, your EM5 is about to get a lot of use.

Re: Here's one I made earlier...

Thanks everyone! Lauren is 3 now so it is a bit strange having such a small baby in the house again!

I hope it will be a few years before I need to worry about boyfriends... plenty of time to practice my "scary Dad" routine!

Unfortunately she doesn't quite seem to have understood this day/night thing yet... asleep for most of yesterday and awake until about 4am!

Nope, she was a little dink at 6lb 12, although the docs estimated her weight at 8lb 4, although there was a 1.5lb leeway on the estimate!

Lauren was pretty good at teething... here's hoping the new one will follow suit!

I might just be able to manage that!

One scary thing that happened just after the birth was a series of power cuts in the hospital! coupled with a midwife running down the hall in the dark shouting "WE'RE MID-EPIDURAL! ! !"... thankfully it came back on fairly quickly but it must have been a bit daunting for those who were still in labour at the time...
