Lens for weddings

Got a family wedding coming up in a few weeks and guess who's been landed the task of taking the photos

Reviewing my lenses and cameras I realised there was a bit of a gap around the 28mm to 50mm (prime) range (FF). I've got Sigma Four-Thirds 30mm and 50mm f/1.4 lenses that I could use with the MMF-3 adapter but they are not really wide enough (60mm and 100mm respectively - too long). Also been looking at 28mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4 for my other FF system (cough, cough). Prices are around 2 grand Forget that then.

Then thought about the 17mm f/1.2 Pro lens. That will give me 34mm (FF eqv.) and the DoF at the distances and apertures I will be using will be nigh-on almost the same as the FF lenses. The price though is a fraction (689 from HDEW) and I'm sure the image quality of the Oly lens would give the competition a run for it's money.

So, just before I hit the Go button I just want to confirm that the 17mm f/1.2 Pro has the MF clutch like the 12-40mm f/2.8 (I'm pretty sure it does have) and is compatible with the E-M1's Focus Peaking. Any comments appreciated.

Thanks, Steve
