Re: Communal Dragonfly, Butterfly and Insect photo thread

I'd plump for a Gatekeeper (based on my extensive experience of one butterfly day at Hickling Broad with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, so feel free to ignore me ).

It must be said that the Gatekeeper, Small Heath and Meadow Brown are very similar with folded wings...

The top of the wing had orange on half, but I couldn’t get a shot of it with its wings open.

Sphaerophoria scripta in copula.

Unfortunately the male slightly dipped out of focus, and they were gone.

Tetragnatha extensa Eating Blue Damselfly

The damselflies like to fly among, and rest upon, the long stems wild grass in out garden. This one has gone to the final resting place.

The stereos are crosseye.

Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 x2 TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, 1/80 at f11, hand-held.
