How to save money without really trying!

Simple - cancell all your memberships and subscriptions, it's amazing how they add up!

I've just cancelled these:-

National Trust Family Membership 93.50
Essex Wildlife Trust 60.00
Royal Photographic Society 108.00
Braintree Outdoor Pursuits Club 26.00
Clikpic (Website and domain) 75.00

That's a saving of 362.50 per annum, or 453.12 of taxable income!

Re: How to save money without really trying!

Sounds like a smart move if times is hard...

I think I am saving money by going from two BT lines to one, being as each quarter BT could turn 4.50 of calls into a bill for 145. The problem is the new billing structure is so complex I probably won't know if I am ahead of the game for eighteen months.

Here's money saving another trick. If you live in a semi, turn an old fridge inside out, clamp the ice box to the wall and extract heat from your neighbours lounge. Cancel the Gas. Simples

I like the sound of the fridge trick, I guess that using a freezer would be even more effective.

How about if I tap into their water main then have a water meter fitted to my own?

The other thing is to not visit the News Agent & buy that magazine that isn't needed. A lot of money can be eaten up on magazines.

Edit: I took a long time to start this reply & sometime after dinner, completed it & now I've discovered the devious replies above. If you want to steel electricity, just use the inductive method.

I like the RPS Journal but I'm seriously wondering if it represents good value for money, now I've decided I'll never be anything more than a happy snapper. But it's hubby who is the member, so it's not really up to me.
