Maybe this weekend hasn't been all bad after all...

There's nothing wrong with an E520, Janet, I'm so glad you've found a replacement. Do you still take pictures of brass bands?

Haven't been with the band for quite a while John - to be honest, I do miss it.

Sounds like a happy ending. Don't blame you for keeping a foot in the 4/3s camp too. I've still got my old E510 and my daughter has her old E520 although neither of us use them now.

That's my old E-520 I think Phill My sister still uses her old E-500, but either it's getting a bit flaky, or she still can't drive it properly! I might suggest she gets a more recent 4/3 body.

Re: E-M5 Mark 1 plus HLD6 grip etc

My replacement e520 arrived today, very quickly from eBay and I'm absolutely delighted to have one again. It appears to be in very good condition and so far as I can tell is working perfectly.

Just looking forward to playtime with the EM5 now! I'm glad I have two days booked off work because I just know I won't be able to put it down!

You've just got to love this forum - within an hour of breaking my camera I had another one lined up. It was the first place I thought of when my camera hit the floor. Good stuff!

Yes Bruce it is the very same and it still works a treat. She's looked after it very well and has taken some cracking shots with it

Janet, we need a few more Portraits in the Monthly Challenge. Time for you to test the new cameras.

"Portrait" is open to your own interpretation, as are all of the challenges....

Open to interpretation you say?

How's this then...my six year old grandson's portrait of his dad in clay...taken with my new OMD EM-5.

It looks just how I feel after spending the last four hours getting to grips with this new camera! Sheesh, I'd forgotten just how bloody difficult and frustrating it can be when you get a new camera.

Who on earth dreams up the menus?

Oh well...I'm having fun!

Janet
