The Beach..

Sorry not a tropical beach dripping in semi naked bodies, just a good old British south coast variety

The good news (for me anyway) is that I quite like this image, taken yesterday whilst experimenting with the x10 ND coupled with a Cpl. I wondered what would happen if I shot straight into the sun, this is the result of a 30 sec exposure, possibly it's a like it or hate it type of image as it's far from perfect.

There has been a little dodge and burn here and there all finishing up with a platinum wash.

Whats the verdict?

Re: The Beach..

I really like the tones in this shot, but the distracting feature for me is the location of the horizon half-way down the frame.
I don't necessarily believe in slavishly following compositional rules, but in this case a one-third/two-third split is called for.

Re: The Beach..

I appreciate the thoughts Stephen, you may well be right, perhaps a crop at the bottom of the image would improve it.
